Smart Bets has been a program within Atlas Network’s model of Coach, Compete, Celebrate!™ since 2019 thanks to our sponsors: Smith Family Foundation and the Templeton Religion Trust. Atlas Network takes pride in our ability to emphasize the important work our partners do. Smart Bets is one of the amazing ways to showcase the changemakers we have discovered.

The Smart Bets program demonstrates why so many people within the liberty movement trust our judgment, and it enables us to work with you in advocating for our common mission of peace, prosperity, and freedom under the rule of law.

The program started as the “Investors Summit,” which some of you may recall, but we realized we needed to broaden our horizons to ensure our partners get the attention and audience their projects deserve. Flash forward to 2024, and we have set in stone our Smart Bets program.
Through our virtual pitch webinar, anyone interested will have the opportunity to witness our top 10 handpicked partners showcase their projects and why you should care about them.

Through Smart Bets we provide the following opportunities to our 10 “Smart Bets” grantees from among
Atlas Network’s partners:
- $25,000 grant and a $10,000 matching grant for the following year;
- Eligibility for an additional $25,000 prize for achieving the greatest impact; we call this “Impact Award”;
- Chance to compete for a $50,000 “Pitch Competition Award” and two $25,000 “Pitch Competition Runners Up”;
- Membership in the global cohort of Smart Bets;
- Consultations with the Atlas Network team to support the progress of the initiatives;
- Profile story at AtlasNetwork.org;
- One-page promotional product designed by Atlas Network;
- Priority consideration for engagement opportunities.
Program
Overview
Atlas Network’s Smart Bets Program is an exclusive and comprehensive initiative designed for partner organizations that have demonstrated exceptional effectiveness in advancing the cause of freedom.
Our program selects up to 10 promising partners each year, providing them with financial support, recognition, exposure, and invaluable resources to propel their efforts forward. Just like in baseball, where calling the shots can lead to championship wins, Smart Bets is about confidently backing winners in the freedom movement.
The selection process for Smart Bets is rigorous and by invitation only. However, organizations that weren’t invited but believe they would be a good fit for consideration can submit a letter of interest for review. The program aims to bring together both established stars and rising stars in a collaborative and competitive global cohort, fostering an aspirational dynamic within the peer network.
